Experimental me
A time like this, a year ago. I got the crazy idea to start
a blog. Admittedly the thought had crossed my mind a few times before 2012 but
after the New Year it came back to me with renewed gusto. And then I thought to
myself: ‘What the heck!’ And thus began one of my most random ventures ever. I
pride myself in being spontaneous when occasion demands it but this was just a
whole new level of crazy. I basically had goosebumps all through while I wrote
my first post and they got even bigger when I hit the publish button. Part of
me was just going with the flow and another part of me was super freaked out. I
didn’t know if my writing would totally suck or if it would be great. All I
knew is that I wanted to write and it felt good. I mean it like really really
good. There’s just something about cutting away all the fear and doing
something that you never thought you could and then realizing that you had the
capability all along. It’s this bright feeling in you that makes your heart
sing because you have absolutely no regrets. No what ifs and the like. And now,
a year later I couldn’t be happier about that choice.
So here’s to crazy
ideas and random stuff. To taking chances and never-looking back. To accepting
the role of guinea-pig in your life because if you don’t try, who will? Good
luck, all the best and I hope that one day you’ll have your own story to tell. And
also here’s to the cheer-leaders in our lives. Who look us straight in the eye
when we share our ideas with them and tell us that they have absolute
confidence in us and they believe we can make it. I’ve had my fair share of
people who urged me on with this blog and gave me what I needed to keep at it.
Which reminds me of:
So whatever your
idea, as long as it’s not illegal, life-threatening or completely against the
laws of physics (ha ha! Just kidding!); go ahead, experiment a little.
Ciao...
